Buy Magic Proxies

Our MtG proxies use the latest printing technology, so they fit in perfectly with your existing decks. These MtG proxy cards are printed and cut to the exact dimensions of a normal magic card. We are constantly adding new cards, so check back often for the latest.
Another common reason that folks buy proxies is because they are on a budget. If you want to make a competitive deck, you need dual lands, fetch lands, and other extremely OP staples. These cards cost tens to hundreds or even thousands of dollars. Unfortunatley, many people are priced out of competitive play without proxy cards.
Buying proxy cards is ideal if you are looking for high quality, realistic MTG cards. At Proxy King we try to make our proxies as realistic as possible. This lets you join games and play without people noticing you are running proxy cards in your Magic deck. We have created over 1,000 different MTG proxy cards that we print with high fidelity printers.
The first and potentially easiest way to get proxies is to make them yourself. There are sites out there that will do the formatting for you. All you need is a printer, paper, ink, and some scissors! If you wanna get fancy there are some other supplies that will make your proxies prettier or nicer to hold, but those are the basics.
For playtesting. Proxy cards allow a player to test new cards, before they decide to actually buy or trade for them. In card prototyping. Card developers in companies like Wizards of the Coast use proxies to playtest their ideas for new cards before they are printed.
This foil is printed on high quality German foil paper, so it is as close to the real card as a proxy can be. These amazing proxies are great forplaytesting, kitchen table magic or FNM. Has a recessed hologram at the bottom center of the card for added authenticity. Once sleeved it is hard to tell this from the real thing!
I am no longer interested in giving WotC any more money, so I am suddenly in the market for some proxies. A few decks worth to be specific. I only know one method of making them (using blanked foils and printable decals) and I don't think that is the best way to go about it. What are y'all's favorite methods to make, or favorite websites to buy many proxies?
If i'm going to do that i don't want proxies printed on paper and glued to a card like i did before, too janky and makes the cards quite thick so easy enough to tell if you're holding one. So instead I've been mulling over buying well made proxies but i wouldn't know who to approach and it's kinda shady. As it's for a complete casual format i don't see a problem with it, neither do wizards but i want to make sure it's somewhere trust worthy and of decent enough quality.
I have just started working on proxies myself and do not find it to difficult to make something half decent. I spend most of my time working on the custom art to distinguish the proxies from the real.Though making a large number of proxies could prove to be timely.
The counterfeit card community doesn't refer to its fake cards as "fake" or "counterfeit"; it calls them "proxies," which seems to be an attempt to lend legitimacy to their buying and selling of illegitimate Magic cards. Unfortunately, this causes a lot of confusion, since the term "proxy" has been a part of Magic for a long time and the use of proxies is widely accepted for certain purposes and types of play.
Technically, a proxy is any stand-in Magic card, so technically a counterfeit card is a proxy, while writing "Underground Sea" on a basic land with a Sharpie also makes a proxy. On the other hand, counterfeit cards are designed to be as realistic as possible to fool people into thinking they are real, so while all counterfeit cards are technically proxies, not all proxies are counterfeit cards. True proxies are a healthy and important part of Magic. Not everyone can afford to own every card, and if you want to pretend something else is an Underground Sea for testing or on your kitchen table, that's great. On the other hand, the goal of counterfeit cards is literally to fool people into thinking they are real cards, either for tournament play or to make a profit by selling the cards to unsuspecting players, which makes counterfeit card "proxies" problematic.
Wizards could also explore other products like the Modern equivalent of Challenger Decks, although personally I find it unlikely that this type of product would succeed because the amount of valuable cards Wizards would find it wise to put into a Modern preconstructed deck product would likely be a lot lower than what some players would like, especially considering unironic requests for moving Snapcaster Mage to uncommon or selling box sets of 20 fetch lands for $50. Another possibility would be more Collectors Edition cards (with gold borders). The Reserved List only covers tournament-legal cards, so printing Collectors Edition as a sort of "official proxy" is allowed under the current rules and could be quite profitable for Wizards, although it wouldn't help players who are interested in playing tournaments. Still, there's a huge group of players who want high-quality proxies for their cubes or kitchen tables, and Wizards could fill this niche, rather than having some percentage of these players hand their money over to counterfeiters.
Meanwhile, local game stores can run more unsanctioned proxy events. Legacy and Vintage are great formats, and most players would be perfectly fine with playing against opponents with some number of proxies in their decks if it meant they could play their favorite format on a regular basis. Wizards clearly stated back in 2016 that it has no desire to police proxies, even for in-store play, as long as the events aren't sanctioned and the events are using traditional proxies and not counterfeit cards. Speaking of counterfeit cards, along with running more proxy events, local game stores should have a no-tolerance policy for counterfeits and make sure that the proxies used are not designed to fool players into thinking they are authentic cards.
But there are limits to everything. A lot of people who agree with what I have written so far are not going to like what I have to say next: Almost all of the high-end proxies being used by the community violate the rules regarding proxymaking. Wizards of the Coast is extremely rare as IP holders go, in that they have a very cleanly defined Fan Content Policy.
Something to be clear about with the Fan Content Policy is that it is meant to enable people who are creating something. While most artists that create proxies do not make original art as I do, they instead experiment with card frames, crossovers, and styles that Magic is not (yet?) ambitious enough to approach even in thier wildest Secret Lairs. Scrubbing the information off of a scanned card image is not creative. It is just theft, and would probably be considered counterfeiting by Wizards.
My moral stance is that use of proxies in casual settings harms no one. But nobody is entitled to abuse others to demand they be able to illegally buy thier work, or steal it without permission. Printing your own cards correctly and legally does take effort, but
